Ancol have grown the business every year to become the market leader in pet accessories, this growth has been fuelled by major re-investment every year in order to improve efficiency or product development and numerous other key performing factors that strengthen the fabric of the business.

Colin Lane, the founder and managing director, formed the business, together with his wife Ann in 1971. Colin and Ann already had vast experience and local knowledge of Walsall’s leather making craft industries and saw an opportunity of producing high quality collars and leads for the pet trade. The family have always kept to its early philosophy of using the best quality bridle leather in the production, offering a consistent service and high standard of reliability and quality. Although manufacturing techniques have been improved, local skills are still employed together with selection of the finest hides of bridle leather.
