MEGAHIKE - 50 miles in 24 hours or can your team beat the sun?
A MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU to all the participants who took part in MEGAHIKE 2010! The event was a huge success, and all of us at Global Adventure Challenges and MedEquip4kids, have nothing but admiration for all of you who attempted to tackle this monster trek.
A special congratulations must go out to Groundwork Pennine Lancashire, who where the 1st team to stroll across the finish line, in a new record time! And the only team in the events history to beat the sun!!

As you are all aware the event is in aid of MedEquip4kids, and the No 1 aim of MEGAHIKE 2010 is to raise £90,000 for MedEquip4kids. So please keep on sending in your donations and sponsorship money, every penny raised is going to such a worthy cause.
Our final thank you goes to all the organisations that helped logistically with the event…Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue, Raynet, St John’s Ambulance, Littleborough Rugby Club and the Ram Inn. However, a special thank you must go to the volunteer sports therapists from both Salford and Bolton University. Who worked there magic, day and night helping to soothe those aching limbs and feet!
