50 miles in 24 hours or can your team beat the sun?
In 2011 over 50 teams took on the challenge of trying to complete and beat the 50 mile route in 24 hours. The 2011 event was a huge success raising in excess of £85,000 for MedEquip4Kids. The 2012 event is going to be even bigger with over 80 teams who are hungry for a real challenge whilst pledging to make a real difference to the lives of children across the North of England.
What is the MEGAHIKE Challenge?
MEGAHIKE is a fantastic, fun but very tough fundraising event and the challenge is simple – your team of four must make their way around one of two routes within the set time limit:
50 miles, climbing 7,000ft within 24 hours
25 miles, climbing 3,500ft within 12 hours
By taking on MEGAHIKE, you will be raising vital funds for MedEquip4Kids, the North of England’s leading charity that supports children in and out of hospital. Come and be part of something special and prove to yourself, and others, that anything is possible.
